We built this because
we needed it ourselves.
Not because we saw a market opportunity. Because we saw mom's kitchen faucet dripping for three months and didn't know until Thanksgiving.
Here's the thing about having a parent in Maine: you love them, you worry about them, and you can't always be there.
You call when you can. "How are you, Mom?" "I'm fine." Every time. Even when the gutter is hanging off the house. Even when her knee is so bad she hasn't been to the grocery store in two weeks.
"I'm fine" is the most dangerous sentence in the English language when your mom says it.
23% of U.S. adults are sandwiched between aging parents and growing kids. They don't need another app. They need someone watching out for mom when they can't.
We built Muckle because AI doesn't forget. It doesn't get busy. It doesn't skip a day because work was hectic. It remembers the cat's name, the favorite flowers, the doctor appointment next Tuesday. And when mom mentions her screen door is sticking, it doesn't let it slide.
But AI isn't enough. When mom needs her gutter fixed, she needs a real person on a real ladder. That's why we're building a concierge network of local, vetted helpers — real people who show up and get things done. Coming spring 2026.
What we believe
Mom's companion, not your spy
Muckle works for mom first. You get summaries, not surveillance. Privacy is a dial, not an off switch.
Trust is earned
Muckle starts as just a companion. Over time — with your permission — it learns to do more. We never rush.
Real people matter
Our helpers will be local, vetted, and paid fairly. Not gig workers from an app — people who actually care about fixing mom's screen door.
Simplicity is safety
If mom needs a smartphone to use it, we failed. If there's ever silence when there should be a voice, we failed. We test against an 82-year-old with arthritis.
We code like HIPAA applies
Encryption at the application layer. Immutable audit logs. No PHI in error tracking. We don't wait for a legal requirement to protect health data.
Built in Maine, for everyone
We started here because this is home. We know these communities, these winters, these distances. Works for dads too.
Where we're headed
We build what our families need, not what sounds impressive.
